Route Information, History and Termini Gallery
One of Georgia's lesser traveled and less significant highways, GA 330 forms part of an alternate route from Athens to Winder, which mostly consists of GA 82. Located in Barrow and Jackson Counties, the 5.9 mile highway runs mostly through a very rural area broken only by the reservoir recently constructed on the Middle Oconee River.

History
GA 330 was on the state highway system by 1961. The highway was fully paved upon commissioning. Other than a bridge replacement over the Middle Oconee River at the reservoir, no major changes have occured on the route since it was first commissioned.

All photos below by J.T. Legg taken January 27, 2005.

Western Terminus: GA 82 north of Statham
When these end shots were originally taken in 2003, all of the older-style signage was still in place. As seen here, much of that has already been replaced. Photos here include end signage looking west on GA 82, directional assembly looking south with both roads splitting east and west and junction assembly on eastbound GA 82. There was no eastbound reassurance shield at the time the photos were taken.
Eastern Terminus: U.S. 129/GA 15 Alt northeast of Athens
Photos include end signage, directional signage on northbound U.S. 129, first westbound reassurance shield and junction assembly on northbound U.S. 129.
