Route Information, History and Termini Gallery
In Jackson County, GA 335 extends from the county seat of Jefferson due east to U.S. 441 in Nicholson (Pop. 535). Locally known as Brockton Road, the highway generally has low traffic volumes due to the fact it merely connects the eastern part of the county to the county seat, but is otherwise an unimportant route. At the western terminus of the highway is a historic arch bridge over a small creek on adjacent GA 82/15 Alt, which was recently saved from demolition.

History
GA 335 was first commissioned in 1961 and fully paved upon commissioning. In 1996, GA 335 was relocated a short ways south where it crosses the North Oconee River with a new bridge. The relocation straightened a sharp curve along with replacing the old bridge that existed previously.

Western Terminus: GA 82/15 Alt in Jefferson

The first photo features the ends assembly opposite the dead end of GA 335 with the newer ugly and unprofessional signage that is now plaguing the roads of the state. The next photo is the slightly older directional assembly on GA 15 Alt/82 southbound. Note the beginning of the historic bridge behind the signs. Photo three is the first reassurance shield eastbound, unfortunately marred by the temporary sign I couldn't get out of the way. The final photo is of the junction assembly looking northbound towards the same bridge. Photos 1-3 were taken on June 5, 2005. The last photo was taken earlier on August 21, 2004.
Eastern Terminus: U.S. 441/GA 15 in Nicholson between Commerce and Athens
Photos here include recently replaced ends assembly, first reassurance shield and junction assembly on northbound U.S. 441. The sign in the second photo was the last remaining of the old-style signs on the highway. Work to four-lane the road at this intersection has already commenced. All photos taken August 21, 2004.
