Route Information, History and Termini Gallery
Connecting three Laurens County towns, GA 338 extends 22.3 total miles from U.S. 441 south to GA 117. Those three towns include Dudley, Dexter and Cadwell, all with small populations located in farming areas. All are joined by GA 338, however, which in the case of Dexter and Dudley results in the crossroads of two state routes. Included in the mileage for the route, GA 338 has one 0.3 mile overlap along its length where the highway joins part of GA 257 (originally GA 277) in Dexter. The southern end of GA 338 is also less than a mile from where GA 117 crosses GA 126.

History
GA 338 first made its appearance on the state highway system by 1961. Fully paved upon commissioning, few changes have taken place along the highway.
